It is not your attorney, it gives no opinion on patentability, it never predicts whether a claim will be allowed, and it does not advise on deadlines or bar dates. A filing decision needs a practitioner in your jurisdiction.

Does Patent Desk search for prior art?

No, and it is instructed never to pretend otherwise. The prior-art lane produces the search you should run - classification codes, a concept matrix, the exact query strings for Google Patents, Espacenet, Patentscope and USPTO Patent Public Search, a protocol and the criteria by which a hit would knock out a claim element. It never names a patent number or publication as prior art, because a fabricated reference is the most damaging thing a drafting tool can produce.

What happens before I sign in?

A deterministic parser runs entirely in your browser. It reports the claim count, the dependency tree, forward and dangling references, chain depth, definite references with no antecedent basis, relative terms, means-plus-function language, reference numerals, omnibus claims, mixed statutory class, USPTO excess-claim thresholds and claim terms that never appear in the disclosure. Nothing leaves the page until you ask for a run.

Which jurisdiction does it apply?

United States practice only: 35 U.S.C. 101, 102, 103 and 112, 37 CFR 1.75 and the MPEP. If you name another office it will say it applied US practice and name the difference that matters most, rather than guessing at foreign practice.
